Description

The Beyond Medals Cargo Snowboard Jacket 2L Ripstop Dark Green combines a functional cargo look with the technical protection you’d expect from modern snowboard outerwear. The 2-layer construction, roomy fit, and lightweight padding provide a comfortable blend of protection and warmth, while the ripstop outer fabric adds extra durability. With a water column rating of 15,000 mm, the Cargo Jacket is built for long days in the snow and variable winter conditions. The Dark Green colorway rounds out the look with a clean outdoor aesthetic that perfectly matches Beyond Medals’ style. Beyond Medals describes the Cargo 2L as its classic cargo jacket with updated details and full protection.

Fit

Relaxed fit—A relaxed-fit snowboard jacket lets you layer up and enjoy the popular baggy look without going overboard. These jackets offer plenty of freedom of movement and comfort.

Water Column

15,000 mm - With a waterproof rating of 10K–20K, you’re well protected against heavy rain or snowfall, even during extended stays outdoors.

Breathability

15,000 g/m² - Most snowboard jackets fall into this category. Ideal for riders who sweat a bit more and want to experience ultimate comfort while snowboarding.

Insulation – Light Padding

Light padding – The light padding provides extra warmth without the bulk of a heavily insulated snowboard jacket. This keeps the jacket comfortable for active riders and gives you enough freedom to layer as you see fit.

Material – Ripstop

Ripstop – Ripstop isn’t a separate fiber, but a special way the fabric is woven. Stronger reinforcing threads are woven into the fabric at regular intervals, creating a subtle grid pattern.

The purpose is simple: to make the fabric stronger and help prevent small tears from spreading quickly through the material.

This is particularly important for a snowboard jacket. On the mountain, your jacket regularly comes into contact with your snowboard, bindings, lifts, ice, branches, and other hard or sharp surfaces. If minor damage does occur, the ripstop structure helps prevent the tear from spreading further through the fabric.

By the way, “ripstop” doesn’t mean the jacket is completely tear-proof. It mainly makes the outer fabric more durable and tear-resistant without requiring an extremely heavy material. Beyond Medals also specifically uses ripstop in its technical 2L outerwear as a durability upgrade.
