Lib Tech Skunk Ape Camber Snowboard

The Lib Tech Skunk Ape Camber Snowboard is built for taller riders who finally want a board that’s not only long enough, but above all wide, powerful, and technical enough. The Skunk Ape Camber combines a Directional Twin shape with a longer, floaty nose and a classic camber construction. Thanks to the Wide and Ultra Wide sizes, you get significantly more room under larger boots, which greatly reduces toe and heel drag during deep carves. With a solid 7/10 flex, ultra-light HP construction, and a clear all-mountain/power-freestyle focus, this isn’t a clunky “big guy board,” but a powerful daily driver that lets you go straight from hard groomers into the trees and fresh snow. 

Flex

Shape

Directional Twin—this shape combines features of both a directional and a twin board. It has a symmetrical shape (twin) regarding the nose and tail around the bindings, which provides balance during freestyle maneuvers like spins or switch riding. However, outside the bindings, the nose may be slightly longer than the tail, or the flex may vary from front to back, making the board more suitable for all-mountain riding in one direction. This makes the board versatile, performance-oriented in various snow conditions, and still suitable for park riding.

Rocker Type

Camber - On a camber snowboard, you’ll see an upward curve between the bindings, while the nose and tail remain on the ground. This gives you more grip on the snow and greater control while carving. With a camber snowboard, you can also make turns easily and reach higher speeds. It’s perfect for experienced snowboarders who enjoy riding on the slopes and want to pick up speed.

Core

Horsepower (HP) Construction—a lighter, more responsive blend of 60% aspen and 40% paulownia. Finished with a basalt alloy.

Base

Eco Sublimated TNT – this base material features the highest-density, ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene. The titanium layer ensures your base maintains its performance across a wide range of snow temperatures, while the crystal layer provides the fastest waxless base material available.

Binding Compatibility

  2x4 – The 2x4 system is the most common pattern for snowboards today. It features two rows of inserts spaced 2 centimeters apart. This allows for various stance widths. To attach your snowboard bindings in the 2x4 system, you’ll need four screws.
