Description
The Nordica Sportmachine 3 120 BOA GW 2027 Black/Grey/Red ski boots are designed for advanced skiers who want to combine powerful performance with a roomier fit. With a flex rating of 120 and a medium-wide last of 102 mm, this all-mountain ski boot offers firm support without sacrificing the comfort of a roomier forefoot. The BOA Fit System ensures a precisely adjustable fit, while the updated Tri Force Construction supports power transfer. Thanks to the 3D Cork Fit PrimaLoft liner, Adjustable Cuff Profile, and Infrared Technology, this model is particularly appealing to athletic skiers with slightly wider feet who want their fit professionally adjusted.
Flex: 120
With a flex index of 120, this Nordica ski boot offers firm, sporty support. The relatively stiff construction ensures stability during powerful turns, quick edge changes, and higher speeds.
The Tri Force Construction supports direct power transfer and controlled flex. An excellent choice for skiers who actively carve and have the technique and strength to get the most out of a stiffer ski boot.
Fit & Last Width: Medium Wide – 102 mm
The Sportmachine 3 120 BOA GW features a medium-wide fit with a nominal last width of 102 mm. This construction is particularly appealing to skiers with an average to wider forefoot or a larger foot volume who are looking for extra space without sacrificing control.
The redesigned shell works in conjunction with the BOA Fit System to evenly envelop the forefoot. Meanwhile, the anatomical 3D Cork Fit liner supports a stable heel lock.
Thanks to the Adjustable Cuff Profile, the space around the calf can also be adjusted. The final fit depends on your instep height, heel shape, and overall foot volume. The nominal last width also varies with the Mondopoint size.
Closure System: BOA Fit System
The Nordica Sportmachine 3 120 BOA GW features a single BOA Fit System on the lower shell. The dial allows you to precisely adjust the tension around the forefoot and instep.
The system distributes the tightening force across the lower shell and allows for fine adjustments without traditional buckles across the foot.
Two micro-adjustable aluminum buckles secure the cuff around the lower leg. A wide 45 mm Power Strap provides extra support and enhances contact between your shin and the ski boot.
Liner & Footbed: 3D Cork Fit PrimaLoft
The 3D Cork Fit PrimaLoft liner combines an anatomical construction with natural cork panels around the heel. These cork zones can be adjusted during professional boot fitting for a more precise heel lock and better power transfer.
PrimaLoft insulation helps retain heat, while the Isotherm material contributes to moisture management. The cork construction also helps dampen vibrations while skiing.
Shell & Cuff: Tri Force Construction
The Bimat PU shell and polyurethane cuff utilize Nordica’s Tri Force Construction. This combines different levels of plastic hardness to balance support, flexibility, and power transfer.
The construction is designed to work with the BOA Fit System and provides a stable foundation for dynamic skiing.
The Easy Entry Soft Flap makes it easier to put the boots on and take them off thanks to more flexible zones around the instep. With Infrared Technology, specific areas of the shell can be professionally and precisely adjusted to reduce pressure points.
The Adjustable Cuff Profile offers additional options for fine-tuning the fit around the calf.
Sole & Binding Compatibility: GripWalk
The pre-mounted GripWalk Extra-Grip soles provide extra grip and a more natural rolling motion when walking off-piste.
These ski boots are designed for ski bindings that are explicitly compatible with GripWalk according to the applicable ISO 23223 sole standard. Not every traditional alpine binding supports this type of sole. Therefore, always have the compatibility of your specific binding checked and have the binding professionally adjusted.
Level: Advanced – Expert
These Nordica ski boots are particularly well-suited for advanced to highly experienced skiers who enjoy powerful and dynamic skiing.
The 120 flex provides firm support during technically challenging descents and at higher speeds. Thanks to its medium-wide fit, this model is ideal for athletic skiers looking for more room than a traditional narrow performance boot offers.
For leisurely recreational skiing, this stiffer construction may be less suitable.
Size Guide: Mondopoint & Fit
Choose your ski boot based on your foot length in centimeters, expressed in Mondopoint. Your regular European shoe size is only a guideline.
With this medium-wide Sportmachine fit, your forefoot width, instep height, heel volume, and calf shape are also important. The boot should provide enough room without allowing your heel to move unnecessarily.
A ski boot that’s too big can cause extra foot movement and reduce control. Therefore, don’t automatically choose a larger size if a new ski boot feels tight.
