Description

The Nordica The Cruise 120 GW 2027 Black/Gray/Red ski boots are designed for athletic and advanced skiers looking for firm support without sacrificing comfort. With a flex rating of 120 and a wide last of 104 mm, this all-mountain ski boot combines a powerful response with extra room for wider feet. The four micro-adjustable aluminum buckles ensure a secure fit, while the Easy Entry Soft Flap makes putting the boots on and taking them off a breeze. Thanks to the 3D Cork Fit PrimaLoft liner, Instep Volume Control, and adjustable cuff, this model offers extensive options for customizing the fit.

Flex: 120

With a flex index of 120, this Nordica ski boot offers firm, sporty support. The relatively stiff construction ensures direct power transfer and stability during powerful turns and at higher speeds.

Despite its wide, comfort-oriented fit, the Cruise 120 retains a responsive character. An interesting choice for skiers who want to carve actively and have enough strength and technique to take advantage of a stiffer flex.

Fit & Last Width: High Volume – 104 mm

The Cruise 120 GW features a wide fit with a nominal last width of 104 mm. This High Volume construction is particularly appealing to skiers with a wider forefoot or greater foot volume who are looking for extra space without sacrificing support.

With Instep Volume Control (I.V.C.), the height of the bootboard can be adjusted by approximately 4 mm. This allows you to fine-tune the available volume over the instep.

The Adjustable Cuff Profile also allows you to adjust the fit around the calf. The final fit also depends on your heel shape, instep height, and individual foot volume. The specified last width is a nominal value and varies with shoe size.

Closure System: 4 Micro ALU Buckles

The Nordica Cruise 120 GW features four micro-adjustable aluminum buckles that allow you to independently adjust the tension around the foot and lower leg.

This classic buckle closure provides a secure fit and allows for precise adjustments. A wide 45 mm Power Strap offers extra support at the top of the cuff and improves contact between your shin and the ski boot.

Liner & Footbed: 3D Cork Fit PrimaLoft

The 3D Cork Fit PrimaLoft liner combines an anatomical construction with natural cork panels around the heel and ankle. These cork zones can be adjusted during professional boot fitting for a more precise heel lock and better power transfer.

The PrimaLoft insulation helps retain heat on cold ski days, while the cork construction also helps dampen vibrations.

The Instep Volume Control system allows you to adjust the height of the bootboard to fine-tune the available volume across the instep.

Shell & Cuff: Triax & Infrared Technology

The Triax shell and cuff combine a relatively lightweight construction with sturdy support. Thanks to the anatomically shaped outer shell, power transfer remains precise despite the roomier fit.

The Easy Entry Soft Flap system uses more flexible zones around the entry point, making it easier to open the boot when putting it on or taking it off.

With Nordica’s Infrared Technology, specific zones of the shell can be professionally and precisely adjusted to reduce local pressure points. The Adjustable Cuff Profile also offers additional options for fine-tuning the fit around the calf.

Sole & Binding Compatibility: GripWalk

The pre-mounted GripWalk Extra-Grip soles are based on the ISO 23223 standard. They offer extra grip and a more natural rolling motion while walking off-piste.

These ski boots are designed for ski bindings that are explicitly compatible with GripWalk. Not every traditional alpine binding supports this type of sole. Therefore, always have the compatibility of your specific binding checked and have the binding professionally adjusted.

Level: Intermediate – Advanced

These Nordica ski boots are particularly well-suited for athletic intermediate to advanced skiers who enjoy skiing powerfully and with control on the slopes.

The 120 flex provides firm support for dynamic turns and higher speeds, while the wide fit offers more room than a traditional narrow performance boot. For beginner skiers or those looking for a very flexible ski boot, this construction may be less suitable.

Size Guide: Mondopoint & Fit

Choose your ski boot based on your foot length in centimeters, expressed in Mondopoint. Your regular European shoe size is only a guideline.

With this wide Cruise fit, your forefoot width, instep height, heel volume, and calf shape are also important. The boot must provide sufficient space without allowing the heel to move unnecessarily. A ski boot that’s too large can lead to reduced control and extra foot movement while skiing.

Stoked Boot Fitting Advice

At Stoked in Halle, we especially recommend this Nordica model to athletic skiers with wider feet or higher foot volume who are looking for firm support. We pay extra attention to the space around the forefoot, the heel closure, and the fit across the instep and calf. Thanks to Instep Volume Control, the adjustable 3D Cork Fit liner, Infrared Technology, and optional supportive insoles, we can specifically optimize the fit wherever the construction and your foot shape allow.
