Description

The Nordica HF 85 W GW 2027 Black/Green/Aquamarine ski boots are designed for recreational to intermediate female skiers looking for comfort, ease of use, and reliable support on the slopes. With a flex rating of 85 and a medium-wide last of 102 mm, this women’s ski boot offers an accessible fit with enough control for both relaxed and sporty runs. The innovative Hands Free system allows you to fasten the boots without bending over, while the HF Easy Entry Shell makes getting into the boots exceptionally easy. Thanks to the 3D Cork Fit W PrimaLoft liner, Instep Volume Control, and Infrared Technology, this model also offers various options for personalized boot fitting.

Flex: 85

With a flex index of 85, this Nordica women’s ski boot offers relatively flexible to medium-stiff support. The boot bends easily forward, allowing you to build pressure smoothly and make controlled turns.

The Double Axis Pivot ensures a stable connection between the cuff and shell, contributing to efficient power transfer. An interesting choice for female skiers who want to ski comfortably without the resistance of a stiff performance boot.

Fit & Last Width: Medium Wide – 102 mm

The HF 85 W GW features a medium-wide fit with a nominal last width of 102 mm. This construction is particularly appealing to female skiers with an average to slightly wider forefoot who are looking for extra space without sacrificing adequate support.

Thanks to Instep Volume Control (I.V.C.), the height of the bootboard can be adjusted by approximately 4 mm. This allows you to fine-tune the available volume over the instep.

The women’s-specific cuff and anatomically shaped 3D Cork Fit liner support a stable fit around the foot and lower leg. The final fit also depends on your heel shape, instep height, and overall foot volume. The nominal last width also varies with shoe size.

Closure System: HF Back Buckle Closure System

The HF Back Buckle Closure System is the key feature of this Nordica ski boot. Instead of four traditional buckles, the HF 85 W GW uses a single aluminum closure mechanism at the back of the boot.

You can use your other foot to press the rear buckle down to close the boot. After skiing, you can open the mechanism with your ski pole without having to bend over deeply.

The HF Easy Entry Shell opens up to about 40 degrees, allowing your foot to slide easily in and out of the boot. Ideal for female skiers who find it difficult to put on and take off traditional ski boots.

Liner & Footbed: 3D Cork Fit W PrimaLoft

The 3D Cork Fit W PrimaLoft liner combines an anatomical women’s fit with natural cork panels around the heel. These cork zones can be adjusted to the individual foot shape during a professional boot fitting for a more precise heel lock.

The cork construction helps dampen vibrations, while PrimaLoft insulation helps retain heat on cold ski days.

In addition, Instep Volume Control allows you to adjust the height of the bootboard to further refine the available space across the instep.

Shell & Cuff: HF Easy Entry & Double Axis Pivot

The polyurethane shell and Bimat PU cuff combine a supportive construction with exceptionally easy entry.

The HF Easy Entry Shell allows the rear of the ski boot to open wide, making it easier for your foot to slide inside. The Double Axis Pivot improves lateral stability and supports precise power transfer while skiing.

Thanks to Nordica’s Infrared Technology, specific zones of the outer shell can be professionally and precisely adjusted to reduce pressure points.

Sole & Binding Compatibility: GripWalk

The pre-installed GripWalk Extra-Grip soles provide extra traction and a more natural rolling motion when walking off-piste.

These ski boots are designed for ski bindings that are explicitly compatible with GripWalk according to the applicable ISO 23223 sole standard. Not every traditional alpine binding supports this type of sole. Therefore, always have compatibility with your specific binding checked and have the binding professionally adjusted.

Level: Beginner – Intermediate

These Nordica ski boots are particularly suitable for beginner to intermediate female skiers who value comfort and ease of use.

The 85 flex provides sufficient support for controlled turns and a relaxed to active skiing style, without feeling overly stiff. More experienced recreational skiers who prefer a more flexible boot with an easy entry may also find this model appealing.

For very powerful skiers seeking maximum precision and support, a stiffer, performance-oriented model may be more suitable.

Size Guide: Mondopoint & Fit

Choose your ski boot based on your foot length in centimeters, as expressed in Mondopoint. Your regular European shoe size is only a guideline.

With this medium-wide HF fit, your forefoot width, instep height, heel volume, and calf shape are also important. The boot must provide sufficient space without allowing your heel to move unnecessarily.

Because the closure mechanism works differently than on traditional ski boots, it’s important to carefully check the heel support and fit around the lower leg. A ski boot that’s too big can cause extra foot movement and reduce control.

Stoked Boot Fitting Advice

At Stoked in Halle, we especially recommend this Nordica model to female skiers with an average to slightly wider foot who are looking for a comfortable ski boot with an exceptionally easy entry. We pay extra attention to the heel closure, the volume over the instep, and the fit around the lower leg, since the rear entry system offers fewer individual adjustment options than a traditional four-buckle boot. Thanks to Instep Volume Control, the adjustable 3D Cork Fit W liner, Infrared Technology, and optional supportive insoles, we can specifically optimize the fit wherever the construction and your foot shape allow.
